Maritime Connectivity Infrastructure

Project Description

The project required a connectivity infrastructure where different shipping bodies sought to be able exchange data in disparate formats but through clearly defined user interfaces. They chose CLMS Services because of zAppDev’s flexibility and ability to model complicated domain models and business processes, in their case the maritime reporting formalities. A key sucess factor has been zAppDev’s ability to maintain the applications over time with increasing efficiency – this is vital for sectors like shipping that have quickly evolving business requirements, as a result of changes in legislation or other unpredictable factors.

zAppDev has allowed them to meet all of these requirements and, ultimately, focus resource on specific industry needs rather than technical issues. It also allowed for early end user testing and, vitally, provided a collaborative environment for all of the disparate partners to come together.
